What Causes Gurgling Sound In Throat And Will Surgery Be Required?

I have a gurgling sound in my throat after swallowing. Also feel fullness in my throat and have a hard time swallowing. I have thyroid nodules and had the right lope removed about 4 years ago. The nodules on the left side were small so the doctor did not remove. can you tell me what can be causing this gurgling and is this life threatening? Will I need surgery again?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
U may have a pharyngeal pouch in your throat that causes gargling sound most commonly along with difficulty in deglutition. Get a Barium swallow Xray done and consult. Yah..if the size increases or the existing one causes discomfort to you, it might be operated.
