What Causes Fatigue And Back Pain After Taking Plavix?
On plavix 5months due to Im told had tia. It left no side effects. Have felt extreme fatique an weakness. Also have back problem BUT now it seems much much worse since on plavix. Unnatural bleeding for simple tiny scratch as well as bruising. I went to prim care phy..he said not to worry...normal. Then asked for blood work as I felt something not rightn Blood work monocyte is 13.1 norm is up to 9.3...YET Dr has made no effort to contact me or explain if I should be concerned.. please help suggest something I might need to do.
If you're bleeding of trivial scratches, you need to stop plavix and check Bleeding time tests, as well as PT/apTT evaluated too. Tendency to bleed can cause complications like intracranial bleed. Monocytes may be repeated for reassurance though not very high to be much concerned about. Total white cell count should be reviewed to be normal. For back pain OTc analgesics like acetaminophen can be helpful and if persists X-ray lumbar spine may be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
