What Causes Elevated Blood Sugar During Pregnancy After Having Betnesol Injection?

Hello Doctor,

I am in preganance of 28 weeks. Recently I had curvical stich done. After that doctor recommended for betnesol injection. Later after 15 days I under went blood Testing. The Blood sugar has been increated around 130. Now the doctor is recommending for insulin. Is it the side effect of betnesol injection ? Please let me know. I am very afraid of that.

Steroids are know to cause side effects including variations in glucose metabolism but only when used for long period.
So, please send details regarding your medications, problem you had before and for how long are you taking those medications for further suggestions.
