What Causes Drooling And Frequent Urination Post Recovery From An Ulcer?

Hi I am recovering from an ulcer, the pain sensation in my upper abdominal area has completely stopped for about two weeks now but I suddenly started feeling bloated when i eat and when I even drink small amounts of water I start urinating frequently throughout the day with an odd sensation of drooling from the mouth. Could it be that the bacteria has some how disrupted my large intestine?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of recovering from an ulcer and pain in the upper abdomen has almost gone for about 2 weeks. But suddenly you developed the symptoms of bloating even on small amount of food and frequent urination on on even the small amount of water orally and drooling from mouth. Wants to know whether the bacteria has disrupted large intestine.
The most probable causes which I can think after reading your history are:
It is possible that there was an ulcer in the lowest part of the stomach where it opens into the duodenum or into the duodenum itself.
On healing this gets scarred and hence narrows the opening permanently.
This may be causing the fullness on eating even the smallest amounts of food.
The frequent urination even on small amount of water and drooling from mouth can be due to excessive anxiety or can be due to urinary tract infection.
I would advise you the following:
Get the blood, urine and stool checked.
Ultrasonography of the abdomen.
Enteroclysis
Upper GI endoscopy to review the situation of the ulcer and to see whether there is any scarring or obstruction.
Further treatment will depend upon the investigations and the clinical evaluation by your Doctor.
A course of antibiotics if there is evidence of infection in the urine or blood.
