What Causes Dizziness And A Feeling That The Brain Will Shut Down?

Hi. I have been experiencing intermittent abdominal pain, frequent stools that are odd looking and smelling (yellowish, frequent), have a history of acute pancreatitis due to alcohol use, but I have not used it since my last bout over 6 months ago. I am a smoker, 24 year old male. I have had blood work done in the ER, nothing unusual, had a CT scan of my abdomen, nothing unusual, and had a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy that revealed a polyp in my colon and a large hiatal hernia in my esophogus. These last two procedures were done less than a week ago. What I am most concerned about though, besides the abdominal pain and frequent bowel movements (7-8 a day), is every now and then I will all of a sudden get really dizzy, almost like vertigo, and feel like my brain is going to shut off. I have never passed out from it, but that is the best I can describe it. My heart will start racing, my hands and feet start to sweat, and I get panicky. I have had panic attacks in the past and this doesn't feel like that. It feels more like it is in my head, and the feeling subsides after an hour or two. I am not a hypochondriac, I am not suicidal I love life, but when this happens I honestly feel like I am about to either faint or seize or even die. I know that sounds very dramatic, and I am not saying that I actually feel like I am going to die, I am just saying that during these episodes I get a feeling of impending doom, like my brain is just going to turn off. I have also been diagnosed with IBS when I was about 14 but have left it untreated and just kind of learned to deal with the bad stomach irregularity, but only recently has it gotten to the point where I am worried. Also, I had my gall bladder removed about 6 months ago because the doctor thought it might be causing my pancreatitis, but it was tested after it was removed and was fine. What could be going on? Do these symptoms sound related to anything?
