Hi, I've suffered with depression for as long as I can remember and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder a few years back. When I fell pregnant last year my depression seemed to disappear overnight - and it got me thinking that it also disappeared for a period whilst I was on the contraceptive pill - microgynon - could there be a link? is there a hormone that would be present in both pregnancy and the pill I was taking that may have shifted my mood to a more "happy" state?
