What Causes Difficulty In Losing Weight?

I've been struggling with weight loss most of my life I participated in the food addicts anonymous diet which allows no sugar, wheat, or flour and lost 30lbs when I began sparkpeople I realized I hadn't been eating nearly enough but yet again lost the 30lbs I had regained. No matter how much or little I eat or exercise I lose 30lbs and then the weight loss stops. I believe I may be leptin resistant when I monitor my blood glucose it moves a little slowly but not in a manner normally attributed to pre-diabetes or diabetes. Is leptin resistance still a current topic in the field or is there something I may spend my time more appropriately researching. Most of my calories in a day come from fruits veggies nuts and seeds I drink a glass of cherry juice in the morning a cup of coffee and the rest of the day it's water all day this is another reason I believe I have a reason to be concerned about my weight being what it is 90 percent of the time i eat very healthfully and not in excess.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to slow metabolism. How is your body temperature most of the time? Do you feel cold when others don't? If you experience such things then you should go for a thyroid profile test to rule out hypothyroidism. In case of hypothyroidism there is slow metabolism and increased weight gain. In such case substituting thyroxine will help you to get rid off this problem.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
