What Causes Delay In Periods When On Nora Birth Control?

I am on Nora birth control and recently stopped taking Bupropion a month ago. My period is 2 weeks late, but I have taken an at home pregnancy test and the result was negative. I am 36. Could I still be pregnant? Should I stop taking the birth control?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You had done a pregnancy test after two weeks of delayed period. So pregnancy chance seems to be less in your case.

The birth control pill should not be stopped without doctor advise. So I will not suggest you stop birth control pill without your doctor advise.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
