What Causes Dark Blood In My Stool While Recovering From An Anal Fissure?

hello, i am 16 and i recently have found dark blood in my stool, also about 2 months ago i got an anal fissure but it is starting to heal. i have been eating lots of fiber and now the stool is starting to firm up and some normal color is starting to return but there is still dark spots. i also am preparing for a 3 week long trip that i cannot afford to miss. thanks

Hello,

The anal fissure could be the causative for blood spots in the stool. I suggest you consult a nearby surgeon for proctoscopy examination to check whether fissure or piles present or not.

You can be prescribed stool softener syrup for your fissure. Take care about not taking excess spicy foods.
