What Causes Cough, hoarseness And Difficulty In Breathing?

I am 51 years old. I was diagnosed with acute broncitis 7 weeks ago. I couched non stop for the first5 weeks. No I still cough some but choke when talking and beging coughing and losing my breath. I am constantly having trouble with becoming hoarse and well. Is this all from the broncitis or could there be more to it?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for your query.
This could be due to bronchitis but other possibilities must be excluded especially when there is hoarseness of voice. You should undergo a direct laryngoscopic evaluation of vocal cords to look for vocal cord palsy and CT scan thorax especially to exclude any lung mass and if it is found a CT guided FNAC to have an idea about it. Consult a pulmonologist soon.
Thank you.
