What Causes Cough With Mucus, Runny Nose And Headaches?

I keep coughing and it gives my chest extreme pain. It also keeps me from sleeping I ve slept at most four hours the past two days, Also I have a really bad runny nose. When I cough Yellow and sometimes clear mucus comes up. I have a terrible head ache which is also causing pain in my neck. I also had a low grade fever yesterday. HELP!

Hello,

You have described the symptoms of a typical lower respiratory tract infection. You needs to be started on oral antibiotics like azithromycin in appropriate dose after consultation with your GP. In addition to antibiotics you should also take antipyretics like paracetamol and decongestant medications to relieve the runny nose. You should also take steam inhalation three times daily and also warm saline gargles. Drink adequate amount of water and stay hydrated. Take rest.
