What Causes Cold, Sore Throat And Swollen Ears?

i am chetu age 27 years, height-170 cms, weight-67 kg, i am suffering from cold, throat pain,due to cold my nose got blocks,near my right ear it is swollen, i vsited the ENT doctor she tolded its infection and prescribed some tablets-altipod cv200,hicet-Dc,hifenac-D, after taking the tablets the swollen part not reduced...can u please advise on this???

As per your query you have symptoms of cold, sore throat and swollen ears which seems to be due to eustachian tube dysfunction due to respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry.

I would suggest you to take antibiotics like Augmentin or Azithromycin. You should take anti-inflammatory painkiller Ibuprofen for relief from pain and inflammation. Chew a Vitamin C pellet. Do warm saline gargles. You should take steam inhalation with vaporizers. Avoid spicy, hot and sharp food substances. You should avoid cold carbonated beverages.

Visit ENT specialist once and get blood and sputum test done to find out the exact cause of your infection and start treatment accordingly.
