What Causes Clumpy Discharge After Sex During Pregnancy?
i am 5 months pregnant, and every time i have sex, the discharge is clumpy whitish/yellowish with a tint of green sometimes. it goes away a couple days after. My vagina stays sore but its uncomfortable for me to have sex while pregnant. Could it be a yeast infection? very little itching is associated with it but could it still be that?
You are correct in assuming that your symptoms may be due to a yeast infection. Yeast infections are very common in pregnancy and just because your are not itchy on the outside, the character of the discharge and the discomfort you feel is very typical for yeast.
It is safe to use any over-the-counter medicine for yeast infections to treat it. I recommend at least a 3 day cream for pregnant women as the yeast tends to be harder to get rid of. I recommend abstaining from sex until you are fully treated.
I hope I answered your question and that this information was helpful.
