Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Clear Liquid Discharge From The Rectal Area?
When I stood up this morning to get out of bed I had clear liquid running down my legs coming from the rectal area. I went to the toilet and no stool came out, only clear liquid. It seems different from the mucus I sometimes experience with my IBS. Still feel like I need to empty my bowels. Just had some Greek yogurt with no sugar added mandarin oranges. Want to see what happens with a regular bowel movement. I had to wipe myself even after leaving the toilet earlier but there is no blood or stool. What could this be? Earlier this week I felt nauseous and as if I were going to have diarrhea for a few days but I never vomited or had any.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, it could be symptoms of watery diarrhea in absence of other symptoms like abdomen pain, vomiting, fatigue it could be due to dyspepsia and it is nothing to worry even such diarrhea may not need any specific treatment, but care needs to be taken for dehydration, hope this information helps.
