What Causes Child To Become Whiny And Go Off Of Milk?

hi, my baby always seems whingey and has now going of all his milk feeds what do you think it could be? he also fell backwards yesterday and worried about whiplash, he slept more than usual last night and woke up not taking his feeds, but he went of them before all this happened. He has also started weaning, maybe he has no need for milk?

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you shift over the baby to more rice-based feeds and more of solid and semi-solid feeds.

I do not think refusing breastfeeding or milk is a sign of whiplash injury and if there are no raised intracranial pressure signs then the trivial fall should not be worried about.

Signs of raised intracranial pressure are intractable vomiting, seizures, double vision, incoherent behaviour, altered sensorium and weakness of any particular part of the body.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
