What Causes Chest Pain And Arm Pain?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I am a 24 year old with hypertension for the past 4 yrs. I am 5 foot 6 inches and 180 pounds. Been experiencing pain in chest and left arm at times. Sometimes I can take a baby aspirin and it will go away. What could be the cause of this.

Thanks for contacting HCM. Dear patient as you have mentioned that you are hypertensive for last 4 years, your chest and left arm pain could be due to heart pain. i would suggest these investigations - get your current Blood pressure checked by a qualified doctor, an E.C.G, an echocardiography and a TMT test. this will help to diagnose the condition and thus the correct treatment. Meanwhile continue your BP medication regularly. Do not do any kind of exertion like exercising, climbing stairs or lifting weights.regards
