What Causes Burning Sensation In The Nose, Cheeks And Chin?

Good day, I have a question, for the past few weeks I have a burning sensation on the chicks the nose and somethimes the chin. My face is not red at all. I doctor prescribed me antibiotic for 12 days thinking it was a sinusitis but it is persistant. I don t have a runny nose and I do not caught at all. Also when I take the chick skin between my fingers I have a feeling the burning sensation is in the skin or vein not in the bones. Does that makes you think about a specific condition. Thank you for your help. YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms can be related to rosacea.

I suggest using Calamine lotion for local application.

I also suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the burning.

If the symptoms continue, I suggest seeing a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi, General &Family Physician
