What Causes Burning Sensation All Over Body?

My mother says that she has a burning sensation from head to toe. She sometimes feels cold in her body suddenly. Dr are give conflicting advise on the causes - some say its nerve, some diabetes, some hormone. She is 55 years old. i would like you urgent advise including the possible type of causes and medicines

Hi,
I can understand your concern for the burning sensation all over body in your mother.

In my opinion if all the important causes are ruled out then it appears to be Non-specific pruritus rather than a systemic problem. I suggest you to go for all teh routine blood investigation and if are normal then there is nothing to be worried.

If I were her dermatologist then would have suggested to take an antihistamine such as hydroxyzine 25 mg twice daily which is one of the good tablet in such kind of cases.
