What Causes Bruising While Breast Feeding?

Hi there I seem to be bruising quite easily while breast feeding they look horrific , considerring there mild knocks, i have never bruised before and I breast feeding my 5month old baby its just started in the last week or so, is there a conection, neon sorry age is 30 height 5.3 weight 8 stone 11

thank you for asking question on HCM
i think bruising around nipple may be due to improper position and attachment of baby to breast while feeding.
because of that baby try to suck vigorously and giving you bruise.
so try proper positioning of baby by , you can breastfeed baby in any comfortable position ,also provide support whole body of baby by one hand .keep baby's head towards breast, provide proper attachment to breast and check that baby's mouth is wide open while sucking, lower lip turned outwards , and baby is sucking well with intermittent pause for 15 min.if position and attachment is cause of bruise this will help you.thank you.
