Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm a 27yo female with no medical problems except asthma and I have been having bright red blood in the toilet bowl and on the toilet paper during my bowel movements. It's painless and occurs on and off for a few weeks now. I'm thinking internal hemorrhoids but I'm worried that it may be something more serious. I don't have any abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fatigue. I alternate between diarrhea and constipation but I don't think it's IBS. I know I should eventually see a doctor about this but I'm under a lot of stress and was wondering if I can wait a month to see the doctor when I have more time. Thanks.
