What Causes Bleeding In Nostril?

My nose has been sensitive all my life. But as an adult (i am 28 female) I have only had nose bleeds when blowing my nose. I have had a cold for the past few weeks. My right nosetril has been bleeding a lot. Could it be worrying? Also, both of them tent to bleed sometimes when i am crying..

Hello,

Your symptoms are suggestive of a genetic disorder, leading to small vessels increased fragility in the nose cavity. There is no reason to worry about!

It is quite common for your situation to exacerbate during viral infection or nose blowing. I would just recommend avoiding nose blowing and trying to use regular cleaning of your nose nostrils with physiological water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
