What Causes Bleeding After Sex?

I have recently started bleeding straight after sex.I also get cramp like pains in my lower abdomen. It isn't a lot of blood, but it is enough to cause concern.I have recently had a heterotopic pregnancy removed (where one twin was ectopic).I also suffered slight womb damage due to a salpingectomy error, but that was five months ago and the bleeding has started happening within the last two months

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

I would like to know if you are trying to conceive again. If so, I would ask you to go for immediate clinical evaluation to exclude another ectopic pregnancy. Else, an unhealthy cervix, infections of the cervix and vagina, cysts on the ovary, adhesions in the pelvis and hormone imbalances have to considered and excluded as the cause of your symptoms. Avoid any further intercourse until you healed well. Maintain proper genital hygiene and adequate hydration.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam
