What Causes Bleeding After Intercourse?

I am a female and I am sexually active. Recently I had an incident with my girlfriend during sex where I bled. We have had sex many other times before that but this one time I bled. After that one time I have bled a little bit during sex, why is this?

Bleeding during intercourse can be due to injury to hymen, or cervical erosion- a superficial wound on cervix or a cervical polyp.
I will suggest use of Tab PAUSE 500 mg as needed to control bleeding.

If bleeding keeps on after sex act then I will suggest to get gynec check up to rule out other causes of bleeding.
