The big toe on my left foot keeps turning grey/ blue every time i sit or stand still. I am a fit, active 48 year old woman. I tend to have low blood pressure. I have a bmi of about 21. I do not smoke or drink and eat very healthily. I do have an underactive thyroid and pernicious anaemia.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a peripheral vascular disease due to impaired blood flow to the lower limb. Consult a general surgeon and plan for an arterial Doppler.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
