What Causes Abdominal Pain And Black Tarry Stools?
Hi, for the past 2 days I have had diarreah, nad today I had black tarry stools. Often when I have a bowl movement and it s soft, i feel like my stomach is on fire and like it has been ripped out. It is very painful and te pain ranges from the lower abdomen right up to the breast bone , in between my breast. More pain on the rght side of my stomache though. What could be causeing this? I do have h.pylorie that is not being controlled by medicines, since they are so out of my price range. Thank you so much for your help. Andrea B.

Black stools with pain in the stomach region may be most probably due to bleeding like an ulcer in the stomach or small intestine. As you have a positive history of H. Pylori as well, so that raises the suspicion further. I would suggest giving a high dose of proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole but you need to see your doctor for proper assessment and evaluation.
