Recently, I had a tooth that had previously been treated with a root canal to abcess. The dentist discovered the problem with the abcess when a new crown was going to be placed, where the original tooth and crown broke off recently. The dentist put me on a antibotic for one week. I have a extremly sore neck and right shoulder blade for the past 2-3 weeks, I read that this could be due to the lymph nodes in my shoulder processing the infection from the abcessed tooth. It is the holidays and my regular doctor is not available. Should I wait another week to see if the swelling goes down?
