What Causes A Popping Sound When Bending The Wrist ?

I am 20 years old 175 5 6. Just wondering about this... Been dacing and taking gymnastics since i was about 8. A long time ago i was doing a back hand spring and over bent my wrist. It was fine not broken or anything but i now have this air pocket it feels like and i have had it forever. when i bend my wrist back it pops up and i can push it and it goes away. when i press on my muscle it comes back. It doesnt hurt at all.. is it something with the muscle or fluid or something else.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

We must take X-ray wrist in AP and lateral view to rule out any fluid present in it or not.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parkavi Gunasekaran, General & Family Physician
