I'm a 24 years old male. There is a small neck lump right under my left ear. It's all most on month gone. There's little pain while pressing. When I seek the doctor, he mention me to do FNAC test or Biopsy. Is something serious? Also, which one would be the best thing to do for this purpose? So, please provide some suggestion about this matter. Thank you.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read the history ans understood the problems- 24 / male - one month old small tender swelling under left ear - Doctor advised FNAC or biopsy - Wants to know the best ...
The ideal treatment plan would be in such a case: -First of all a course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines for 1 to 3 weeks. -ENT Surgeon's opinion to see if there is a focus of infection and to get it treated too. -Most of the times, the swelling may just vanish and you may not need to do something more. -If the swelling persists, then go for FNAC. -If FNAC is not conclusive then only biopsy is required.
