What Cause Enlarged Tonsils With Ear Infection And Cough?

Hi so the past few months I ve been having a lot of problems with my tonsils It started with mono which enlarged them and then now I have a middle ear infection, terrible cough, pink eye, and my tonsils are huge again! My whole head feels like its filled with mucus and everything is sore! Help!

Hi welcome to the health care magic

You have mentioned mononucleosis infection as per history, for that which investigation you have done?? For infectious mononucleosis confirmation serological testing and PS examination done

Here you are having posterior pharynx infection and secondary ear infection

Your work up done as follow...
-Auscultation
-Throat swab
-Otoscopy examination
-CBC with PS examination...
-Auscultation
-liver, Spleen palpation

According to above work up you will be prescribed medication like topical ear drop and oral antibiotic

If swelling and congestion more than instead of phenylephrine, you might prescribed short term steroid course

With keeping all this in mind consult otorhinolaryngologist for your work up
