What Can Cause Facial Flushing And Nasal Congestion After Drinking Beer?

I am a 40 year old female and have just recently experienced some symptoms that seem like an allergic reaction to beer. I've been a social drinker for many years, but recently it has been strange for me to have one or two Bud Light Limes. Tonight I drank 1 beer, my face instantly became flushed and I have nasal congestion. About three weeks ago, I had three beers and I experience a very flush face and the worst headache imaginable. Could I all of a sudden become allergic to beer? And what can I do to get it tested? I know I could just stop drinking beer, but I like to have a couple here and there. Please advise.

Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
It appears that they have changed the preservative or some component of the beer, Some other brands may have some different composition.
So i advise you to change the brand of the beer, with the other you may not have the reaction.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms levocitrizine, montelekast , and triamcinolone40mg injection fortnightly. for 2 months.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
