Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past week I have been experiencing upper stomach fullness and burping each time I each or drink anything. After burping a few times I don't have the feeling that I have quite opened up the passage with my burps. Shortly after I eat or drink the burping stops but once I even drink a glass little water it begins all over again. thank you.
A most common cause for burping is while eating and drinking swallowing of air lead to belching and burping. Other possibilities like food intolerance or irritable bowel syndrome or infection or gastritis etcetera.
Avoid spicy food and alcohol, drink slowly with glass attached to he mouth. Use tablet Simethicon twice a day for five days (after food). If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
