What are these symptoms of aching, throbing, burning in my knees ? I was diagnosed to have fibromyalgia

Hi, im 41 yrs old, height 5ft 2in, weight 10st 4lb with 5 children from 23-7yrs. After the birth of my last child i was in constant pain, aching, stabbing etc in all my muscles & feeling generaly unwell. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few yrs later after having other test to rule out other things. The aches & pain is widespread but i have this constant aching, stabbing, burning, sore , throbbing in my rhomboids, it knocks me sick & makes me so miserable. My knees throb if ive walked for along time & my elbows throb. I am taking tramadol 50mgs 2 every 4 hours no more than 8 & paracetamol & codeine eff 8/500mg & escitalopram . I suffer from depression & anxiety. The widespread pains are the same as the rhombiods as described. When my husband rubs my rhomboids & puts pressure on them it sort of soothes them but doesnt get rid of it nothing does & i could have him doing it all the time. Is this fibromyalgia or is there something else wrong? Ive also recently found out that i have Partial Right Bundle Block & its well documented i my notes but ive never bee told is this something to worry about & what causes it?

Hi,
As you are 41 and other concerned specialists's opinions are ok, so your problem may be due to Pre maunosal symdrome.
You seems to have generalized Osteoporosis and Osteo malasia.
As you have all vague complaints with depression also favors pre manopausal symdrome.
For your heart problem you consult cardiac specialist.
Take high dose of calcium, vit A,and vit D.

Hi there, I have been experiencing recurrent neck spasms, and shoulder pain, for about a year, and lower back pain on rising which has become increasingly painful, I also have the MTHFR A1298C polymorphism, generalised anxiety disorder, heart palpitations and regular head aches, alternating diahhroea and constipation, ongoing muscle twitching and fatigue.. recently I have been having muscle jerks too, I have had lots of blood tests, which show low iron, subclinical hyperthyroidism and am always told that I should go on antidepressants which I am not comfortable with. I had glandular fever shortly before my symptoms began approx 2 years ago and I m wondering if its possible that I have fibromyalgia? I also need to find a doctor that is familiar with the MTHFR as none I have seen thus far know about it yet.. I must find out if the doctors listed on this site bulk bill and see if I can get an appointment.. your thoughts are much appreciated. Kind regards

Hello! I ve been recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia by a rheumatoid arthritis specialist. I recently retired and have been involved in physical fitness all my life. I am having a hard time accepting this diagnosis but have taken it upon myself to talk to a cognitive therapist, been to a chiropractor many times and have become an active yoga enthusiast. I don t enjoy the thought of trying various pain medications for fear of their side effects. I understand there is a blood test called FM/a which identifies markers produced by immune system blood cells with in people with fibro. Is this worth pursuing? My symptoms include pain in both upper thighs (t-bands), chronic stiffness in the neck and shoulder areas. Could this be related to some other underlying condition that hasn t been checked? I am having difficulty with this diagnosis since I have been quite active all my life (60 now). With Thanks

As I was sitting at work I got a fluttering/vibration feeling in the back of my head and felt like I was going to pass out. I also felt like I saw stars. I am alittle shaky, however, I have eaten lunch today and don't have any other medical conditions other then a mixed connective tissue disease. Is this something to be concerned about?

I have Ehler-Danlos (hybermobile) type and now have an extremely high CRP rat 34.4 (I believe anything over 7 is a concern). I've had 4 shoulder replacements. My orthopedic surgeon aspirated some fluid from the joint/prosthesis and has ruled out an infection there. Now my familiy doctor doesn't seem concerned at all with a 34.4 CRP reading but I am! I am 53 years old and have a lot of other symptoms as well, but my main concern right now is that my extremely high CRP may indicate something that should be treated right away - like cancer or lupus. There have been no tests ordered and I feel very confused about how much I should push my doctor to investigate this. By the way, my CRP has been elevated from a shoulder infection prior -- then it was only at 12 -- now at 34.4 that seems very frightening to me. My high sensitivity CRP test put me in the "average" range for heart disease. Do you have any suggestions for me?
