Hi,

In my opinion, the treatment should be continued for a seizure free period of 3 years. After a seizure free period of 3 years the doses are to be reduced gradually in a tapering manner at an interval of every 4-6 months till the patient is completely weaned off the medicines. Usually after completing the treatment patient has no residual effect to his health and ongoing activities in his coming life.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
