What Are The Symptoms Of MRSA Disease?
HELLO, I AM A LONGTERM R.N. AND COULD NOT FIND ANSWERS NEEDED TODAY. HAVE A FRIEND WHOSE ADULT SON PROBABLY HAS MERSA. HOSPITALIZED POST-STROKE. WHAT IS THE INCUBATION PERIOD FROM INITIAL EXPOSURE TO BEING POSITIVE FOR MERSA? ALSO, ONCE ON ANTIBIOTICS (IF THE CORRECT CHOICE) HOW LONG BEFORE HE S NO LONGER CONTAGIOUS? ON IV ANTIBIOTICS BUT MY FRIEND IS NOT SURE OF THE NAME. ISN T IT POSSIBLE YOU MAY ALWAYS TEST POSITIVE ONCE YOU HAD MERSA? DO YOU STAY CONTAGIOUS OR IS IT IN A DORMANT STATE. Hello,
MRSA is very difficult to be cure by routine antibiotics. It needs to be treated with culture and sensitivity of blood with continuous monitoring of results. It is contagious only when it comes in contact with blood. He remains contagious till he get cured completely from MRSA. Once you get cured completely your test is no longer comes positive and you are no more contagious.
