Hi First of all, initial presentation of hiv infection as adkin manifestation is very rare in early phases of HIV. After exposure symptoms starts about 6-8 weeks later, and initial symptoms resemble that of a flue including fever, body pain, throat pain. Even though sexual promiscuity is the most common cause of spread of HIV all over the world, it never means that all unprotected sexual contact brings HIV. The chance of getting HIV increases if there is a definite exchange of body fluids with an abraded skin or mucous membranes . It also depends on the HIV status, viral load, CD4 count of source. Commercial sex workers are main reservoirs of HIV. So as you mentioned in your case, there is chance of exchange of body fluids, and si also the chance of HIV. But your current symptoms are not of hiv , most probably. In this situation you need a proper HIV screening, and you can consult your doctor regarding this, and he will guide you. So don t worry much, proceed for HIV screening, hopefully it will be negative. Try to avoid this kind of high risk behaviour in the future, because prevention is better than cure.
