What Are The Signs Of Pneumonia?

Hello Doctor, I have alot of conjeston in my chest for the last 15 days. I am on antibotics an I am not any better. I cough alot during the day and when I try to sleep. My Doctor says I should wait till friday to get an x-ray for phneumonia. What do think?

Signs of pneumonia are
1. Fever with chills.
2. Chest pain on inspiration or coughing.
3. Cough with purulent expectations (sputum)
4. Chest congestion, tightness, breathing difficulties etc.
So if youare not getting rief from cough even after antibiotic, chest x ray is must. Possibility of pneumonia should be ruled out first in your case.so better to get done chest x ray and start treatment accordingly. Get done sputum culture if necessary to guide antibiotic therapy.
