What Are The Side Effects Of Miconazole?

I ve been using Miconazole Nitrate 4% to cure a fungal infection/yeast as diagnosed by my GP. He first gave me several steroids to use where they only made the skin of my penis really thin and very brittle. I have since stopped using those and asked for Miconazole 3 day formula. I have used it sparingly for a week and have noticed my skin is almost dry and scaly. Seems thin also but it does not rip or split like it did with the steroids. Is there something better specifically for men or male genitals that will eradicate this infection and not harm my skin? I have changed my diet, I have stopped masterbating, as well as seized all other sexual activities. With Miconazole the infection seems to be clearing up and there are only a couple small spots I am waiting to go away. Should I stop using Miconazole? Is there something better made for men that will not harm my skin?

Dear user,
If you have recurrent yeast infection please check your sugar level in blood to rule out diabetes.
While using miconazole, if you have any of the following signs persisting for longer time then you should discontinue using miconazole ointment.burning sensation, swelling, redness, stinging, flaking of treated skin, pimple like bumps. You can also start taking systemic antifungal drugs such as fluconazole 150mg once in a week for 4 weeks. This will cover all broad spectrum fungi.
