General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

Surfaz-SN is pharmacologically Clotrimazole + Beclomethasone + Neomycin.
1. Clotrimazole is an anti-fungal agent will take care of any fungus causing the symptoms.
2. Beclomethasone being a steroid will reduce the inflammatory process.
3. Neomycin being an anti-bacterial agent will prevent secondary bacterial infection.

Though there have been few reported side effects like redness of skin, burning sensation, etc. but they are usually mild and well tolerated.
So, the medicine prescribed by your Doctor is correct.
Please continue it as advised.

Wishing you a Good Health.
Take care.

General & Family Physician Dr. Vaibhav Gharat's  Response
According to your history, this seems to be a fungal infection.
Irritation, hypersensitivity reaction, erythema are the side effects of Surfaz-SN cream. Yes it is steroid based cream. The tablets given to you would be some antihistaminics which will reduce your itch.
Apply the cream on the skin lesion 2-3 times a day. Avoid this cream getting into your eye. Keep the area clean.
Once the fungal infection will subside, your bald patches will go and new hairs will come.
Hope this will help you.
