What Are The Required Treatments To Prevent Scarlet Fever Spreading In Family?
My 20 year old niece spent all day today at our home with my husband,my mother, and our 4 children ages 10, 11,12, and 9 months. She revealed to us that she had went to a doctor yesterday and was diagnosed with Scarlet Fever. I know this is a contiguous disease and I am quite worried about my family being exposed.

First thing you have to know is Scarlet fever is Contagious.
These are the following ways to control the spread of Scarlet fever.
1. Wash your hands.
2. Show your child how to wash his or her hands thoroughly with warm soapy water.
3. Don't share dining utensils or food.
4. As a general rule, your child shouldn't share drinking glasses or eating utensils with friends or classmates.
5.And that rule applies to food, too.
6. Cover your mouth and nose.
7. Tell your child to cover his or her mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing to prevent the potential spread of germs.
8. If your child has scarlet fever, wash his or her drinking glasses, utensils and, if possible, toys in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher.
