What Are The Red And Itchy Spots On My Face?

I have bright red and very itchy spots on my neck, face, chest and some on arms and ears. Last thing I remember eating was a sausage Hit link. I have no history of allergies but I do have asthma. I have taken Benadryl but rash came back in 4 hours. Should I be more concerned?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
It seems you have developed hives or urticaria which could be food induced. Right now i would advise that you repeat benadryl dose. However if the rash persists or if you develop swelling of lips or eyes, difficulty in breathing or swallowing, visit a doctor immediately. Sometimes urticaria could be severe and in such cases steroid and antiallergic injections are required for faster resolution of symptoms.
Hope this helped
Take care
