What Are The Reasons For Swollen Stomach And Back Pain?
ive had a swollen stomach for a while but over the past few months I have been getting really bad pain in my back jst under the shoulders ,also bottom of my back just above the waist the pain in my back stays with me all the time really bad last thing at night and in the morning like someone sticking a knife in at times
"swollen" or better enlarged stomach can be caused by bloating due to bad diet, constipation, bacterial infection of intestines. Back pain with stomach problems usually indicates gallstones. Some bloating can also appear due to gallstones. Back pain can be also caused by spine problems or urinary tract infection/stones.
I suggest you to have some tests done. Start with abdominal ultrasound, blood work, liver tests, pancreas tests and urine analysis. If you are aver 50, and bloating seems to be your problem, also colonoscopy should be considered. Please also consult orthopedist.
Hope this will help. Regards.
