Hello, I am writing in regards to more information about pregnancy. I am worried about an incident that occurred last month. My girlfriend is on the birth control pill and has been for the past 3-4 years, never missed a pill. My issue is that I am allergic to different substances and creams of any type; therefore we do not take any other protection rather than the pills. My girlfriend ended up having a urinary tract infection and had to take Cipro pills for 7 days. We read that it takes 3-4 days until the antibiotic is completely out of the system; therefore we waited for a month and a half before we continued in our intimacy. It has been 3-4 weeks now that she has been sick in the morning, twice that she threw up. She may think that she is stressed with all upcoming exams, but we are concerned for I have read online that the pills do not take affect until a month to three months. Can you please provide more info as to what may happen and if she is pregnant, our alternatives?
