Hi and thanks for the query.
I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
Your case is interesting.
I do not want to scare you, however it is my duty to inform you that there are too many risk factors. Age after 40, presence of fibroids, a
high blood pressure so early and twins are all enough to categorise you in the high risk zone. The chances of developing
preeclampsia or high blood pressure due to
pregnancy are higher in women who have a raised blood pressure so early in pregnancy. Twins increase the chances of preeclampsia even further.
Fibroids are also a risk factor as they tend to grow during pregnancy, cause
preterm labor, placental abnormalities and bleeding. Twins also cause preterm labor.
If you wish to continue this pregnancy further you must do it under strict medical supervision with regular antenatal visits and blood pressure, blood sugar monitoring. The chances of a successful outcome are there but chances of complications are high.
It is best to discuss these with your treating physician and then decide about future course of action.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
