Want To Lose Weight. Family History Of PCOD. Method Of Losing Weight?

Hello doctor,
I'm 21,unmarried,height 4'10", weight 66kg, I wanna loose my weight,but cant. how to loose my overweight?? whats reason of this overweight?? my sister,24,unmarried,is a pcod patient for the last 2yrs. Is there any chances of pcod in me too? my breast size is 44. is this too much? what should i do? any tests or check ups are required? plz suggest. plz help

Hi,

The prevalence of PCOD in any population is about 10 % so it is always possible you have it too. There is a simple test to diagnose PCOD. All you have to do is to get a sonography done. This will sufficiently diagnose if you have PCOD or not.

To lose weight start a fun hobby like cycling or walking up stairs. or running. The aim is to get a lot of cardio workout. Reduce what you are eating by 50 %. for example if you eat 2 slices of bread, then just eat 1. Staying a bit hungry will be good for you.

After this and strict control if you still do not lose weight, then you should meet a MD medicine who will evaluate you properly.

REASONS OF GAINING WEIGHT CAN BE MANY FROM OVEREATING , UNHEALTHY EATING HABITS, LACK OF EXERCISE,THYROID PROBLEM ,PCOD , TO HEREDITY.
I WOULD ADVISE TO GO FOR THYROID TEST , ITS A SIMPLE BLOOD TEST.
FOR PCOD GET SONOGRAPHY DONE.

IF YOU WERE NEVER AN EXERCISE PERSON START WITH SIMPLE THING LIKE 20 MIN DAILY WALKING.

NO JUNK FOOD.
EAT FRESH HOMECOOKED FOOD.
INCLUDE FRESH LEAFY VEGGIES , FRUITS , FAT FREE MILK , FISH,, EGG WHITE , WARM LEMON WATER , GREEN TEA IN DIET.
REMEMBER DIETING DOESN'T MEAN STAYING HUNGRY , ITS JUST DEVELOPING HEALTHY EATING HABITS.
AVOID CARBS AT NIGHT.
KEEP DINNER LIGHT INCLUDING SOUPS SALADS.
REPLACE RICE WITH BROWN RICE , WHITE BREAD WITH WHOLE GRAIN BREAD. INCLUDE OATMEAL , DALIYA .
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY BE DETERMINED .
FEEL FREE TO WRITE BACK.
