Visited A Massage Parlour And Ended With Masturbation. Can I Be Infected With HIV With The Bed Lying On & The Materials Used?

Hi Doc,

I visited a massage parlour and it ended with her doing masturbation for me. I am afraid of the HIV risk due the same lying bed being used for diff customers and presence of all ready existing pre-cum , semen etc on other objects in the materials used / on her hands etc. What is my risk and do i need testing or shall i move on. I have no other episodes of unprotected behavior or protected as well other than my wife

Hello,
thanks for using health care magic

As concerns HIV, there is very little or no chance that you could pick up an infection from a massage even if others had pre cum or semen ejected on her hands or materials. Generally the HIV virus is highly vulnerable and any harsh condition will denature it. If the materials are cleaned and her hands watched each time she finishes with a client, that would be enough to prevent infectious fluid from getting into your urethra and thus preventing you from contamination.

On the other hand, a virus like the Hepatitis B virus can stay for longer days in an infectious state even under harsh conditions and still infect someone.

For the HIV, i do not think there is a chance you could become infected but you could do the HIV test now and repeat three months later just to be re-assured.

Best regards

Hello dear,

HIV infection is spread through body fluids like blood, semen, etc & not through the bed and other materials.
The HIV virus cannot survive for a longer time outside the body.
The risk of getting infected is present if:
1. Your partner is a case of HIV
2. There is any cut/raw surface on your organ or on her hands through which the infection can be transmitted

If the above mentioned criteria are not present, then there is no need to worry about getting the infection.

In case you are in doubt, I advise you to undergo certain tests like p24 assay or PCR for HIV.
These tests become positive within a week and are almost 100 % sensitive.
Even the presence of a single virus in the body can be detected by PCR.
So, if this test comes negative, you can be sure that you are safe.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

hello,
thank you for using health care magic,

first of all i would like to tell you that there is absolutely no need to worry, HIV does not spread by touching material ..

route of spreading are 1) by intercourse or anal sex, penetration is necessary for spread of virus 2) blood transfusion, if blood is from infected patient 3) direct contact of blood of infected patient with you wound or cut , if your skin is intact then hiv can not enter in your body even if you come in touch with infected blood...

well none of the above mentioned has happened with you, but still if you are very worried you can take test for your mental satisfaction.. you can go for ELISA FOR HIV 1 AND 2 , or western blot... or you can go for P24 antigen , this test is very confirmatory but little expensive also..

no need to worry.. take care..
