Vaginal Bleeding After Alcohol Consumption. Reason? Taking Methydopa For High Blood Pressure

Hi, recently I have noticed that any time I drink alcohol, I get vaginal bleeding . It s not my period, as it is fresh, bright red blood , and only lasts a day or so at a time but I was wondering why this is? I am currently not on any contraceptions,on methyldopa for blood pressure1qam &pm(2qd) and metformin er 500mg 1qam &2 qpm

Hello ma'am.

Alcohol has found to interact with many medications and cause various side effects for which alcohol is strictly prohibited in those on regular medication either due to side effects or because it may reduce the efficacy of any drugs taken.

If you feel this presentation is specifically seen after alcohol intake, then the solution is simple. Avoid alcohol.
