Uterine Polyp, About To Surgery. Switched Tablets From Estrace To Estrogel. Skin Dry And Wrinkled. Side Effects?
I switched from Estrace to Estrogel approximately 6 months ago and I have noticed that my skin on my legs and arms is looking dry and wrinkled. The doctor recommended this as I was experiencing some bleeding and it has since been discovered that I have a uterine polyp which will be surgically removed in a few weeks. Since the polyp seems to be the culprit, should I consider going back on Estrace to halt the very troubling signs of skin aging?
Deficiency of estrogens leads to drying and atrophy of genital skin. Estrogen deficiency occurs during post menopausal period. The texture of skin is other ares is not associated with estrogen levels. You can start the estrogen preparation. uterine polyp presents most commonly with polymenorrhea or excessive bleeding. Surgical removal of the polyp or uterus (if family is complete) has to be done. Removal of the polyp will resolve the symptoms.
