Using Cpap Machine With Nose Pillows. Throat Glands Swollen. Due To Uncleaned Machine?
i use a cpap machine with nose pillows set to whatever the test results were at the begining i felt fine or didint notice . Now my throat glands are very swollen in the morning and almost normal throughout the day.My doctor has prscribed meds. not working , i clean my machine once a week. I clean it real good. Trying to figure out what the problem ( glands ) is can it be the machine?

The enlarged throat glands might be due to the CPAP machine.
Whatever is the cause,you have to take a good antibiotic like Macrolide(Azithromycin) and a good Anti inflammatory drug.
Give voice rest.Mouth gargles will help additionally
It will come down.

The CPAP machine is a non surgical and good alternative treatment to obstuctive sleep apnea.
But it shows some of the disadvantages like dry nose , sore throat , sometimes running nose , nasal congestion and sneezing.
As you have mentioned swelling of the tonsills and throat mucosa may be a side effect of the use of machine.
you may be able to limit or stop some of the disadvantages of the machine ,be sure you fit the mask or the nasal prongs properly to avoid any leak
consult your doctor who will adjust the machine properly to eliminate the problems.
