Using Nuvaring. Irregular Periods. Your Recommendations?

My daughter has beenusing nuvaring for 5 years, it use to be like clock work. take it out and start 4 days later a couple of times she as left it in a few days longer like at the beach and so forth and we are assuming that because of this she4 now takes out on sunday and doesnt start until friday leaving her only 2 days before having to put in again. shes thinking about stopping it for a few months and have a couple of regular cycles and then start back up, what is your recommendation about this

Hello ma'am and welcome.

I would say it is a good idea to go off the nubaring for a while and in the meantime use other forms of contraception, birth control or hormone delivering system. Please do keep her doctor informed as at times removal of the ring can result in certain side effects like irregular menstrual cycles, bleeding, etc.
