OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
Since you had used emergency contraception, your normal hormonal milieu is disturbed. You experienced a breakthrough bleed that is common after the pill use and your period is likely to be delayed owing to the disturbance set in. I would ask you to see your gynecologist for an evaluation. Please remember, the first one week of the cycle is safe and there would be no need for additional protection. Take care.
